SXSW Update

March 10th, 2008 by Cesar Torres

The past two days have been nothing short of amazing and insightful. With that, however, comes a huge lack of sleep. I had to leave the Gawker party and be home before midnight; totally “fail” by SWSWi standards. It is the spring break for geeks, after all.

After yesterday’s Facebook keynote fiasco, there was a lot of discussion over the current and future states of new media and the internet. I’ll write up a huge commentary on it and link to some of the people I’ve been RW (real world) interacting with. Really interesting stuff.

I’ll also make sure to show you where CNET and citizen journalists caught me busting it to Daft Punk pre-note. I’ve had to hold back from dancing before every panel and making it my signature SXSW move. Promise a full write-up soon.

What did people do before Facebook existed? Would I have to call you long distance to keep tabs on you? Send you a letter? Seems really inefficient!
